Skip The Straw

People in the US use enough straws every day to wrap around the earth 2.5 times. Studies estimate as many as 8.3 billion plastic straws pollute the world's beaches. Not the only single-use plastic of concern, straws nevertheless pose a threat to marine animals and fish.

In partnership with Sustainable Cleveland, we invite you to join the Skip the Straw campaign. Through this targeted effort, we hope to prevent millions of plastic straws from entering the Lake and polluting our land. When you visit a restaurant or bar, order your drink “without the straw” unless it’s absolutely necessary.

Adults, send us a photo using #clesplashfund of you and your friends and family skipping the straw and we’ll send you a “I skip the straw” sticker. Kids, email us your artwork about skipping straws to save the fish and we’ll share it here and our social media platforms!
